Q:  When nursing homes turn their dining rooms into temporary Maker Spaces each week, and invite teachers and volunteers to entertain their residents and staff with adaptive Maker projects; is that:

A. Maker Education for Lifelong Learners who may have enjoyed a career in STEM & beyond?
B. On-site Maker Workforce and Community-Skills Development for the care staff who are there?
C. The use and equipping of a public/community media, reading, and gathering space for Making?
D. An act of Maker Inclusion - to create and adapt new tools and skills to meet various disabilities?
E. A chance at serving the Emotional Health and wellbeing of groups of underestimated Makers?
F. A chance at bringing science, nature, eco, and STEM activities to life through Art and Making?
G. All of the above, and more?

Join Eileen Callejas, MA, MBA, MS IDT, AC, & Ph.D. (abd), (a former Middle School Teacher and Playground Programs Director), for a relaxed chat and share time. Discover why and how she founded the 501c3, Helpertunity, and gather ideas for ways that anyone can reach out to groups of underestimated Maker Community members. Eileen’s tangled-journey might just be one of the most surprising (and inspiring) parts of the Maker Culture & Makerspace Movement!
